Man commits suicide in Matasia
A 46 yr old man has this morning hanged himself in Matasia. The deceased body was found hanging from a rope around his neck in the bathroom, by his widow after she came home from her night shift job at a local petrol station. The father of two according to his widow could have been going through a difficult after his business started performing poorly due to harsh economic times being experienced by many small business owners across the country. Unfortunately, the sad event happened during this year’s World Suicide Prevention Day which is observed annually on September 10th. The new theme for 2024-2026 is “Changing the Narrative on Suicide,” with the call to action: “Start the Conversation.” This theme aims to change how we talk about suicide and break down the silence and stigma that surrounds it.
